Created back in 2015. The project 'Into the Wynd' was the first time in almost 30 years when I returned to the banana flats, the place where I grew up until I was 4 years old. The 204 flats, now with listed status in the heart of Leith, sits amongst a major change and area of gentrification around the Shore area. The aim of the project was to find out if there was still a community in the flats, did it still exist. How the residents felt it had changed. The people who allowed me to take their portraits in this project were kind, generous with their time and very gracious in helping me do this work.
